How the participants benefit from this project?
By getting involved in this project, it is not just something enjoyable but also it makes great impact on:
- The children and young people
- Set positive goals
- A sense of achievement by determination and hard working
- Understand the value of teamwork
- Boost self esteem and self confidence by learning new skills
- Increasing sense of belonging
- Promote a healthier lifestyle
- The families
- The families take part in the project as a unit thereby to share visions within an environment of integration rather than separatism. Parents get valuable experience to think deeply what kind of guide they could offer to children, what kind of opportunity they could provide to young people to make their life more colourful and successful
- The community
- Learn to bring together different groups to engage in something positive, which takes co-operation and a willingness to learn. This can help to break down social barriers that exist within a community
- Learn to promote culture diversity and respect people from different culture background
- Learn to provide something constructive for young people to do. This helps to prevent the anti-social and offending behaviour, which has such negative impact on a community
- Local authorities and entrepreneurs
- Lord Mayor of Newcastle will hold a reception at the Mansion House for the Children’s Palace. Senior officers from Chinese Embassy will attend the reception to discuss collaboration over education, trade and investment between Shanghai and the North East of England. It is a great opportunity for networking.
